« Yesterday I was in Tel Aviv’s Habima Square alongside thousands of Jews and Palestinians demanding an end to the war in Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, and deepening occupation in the West Bank. Ben-Gvir’s police arrived within minutes to break up the protest with violent force claiming we had violated safety guidelines during the war. I want to be clear – the protest was held above one of the largest bomb shelters in the city. The police want us to be silent and fearful so we don’t take to the streets.

At the same time as the main protest in Tel Aviv, thousands of protestors gathered in 30 other locations across the country to call for an end to the violence and to demand safety, dignity, and freedom. In Haifa, police responded with severe violence as well, beating demonstrators and arresting activists.

Despite the police brutality last night (protesters including me were pushed, kicked, and thrown to the ground), our struggle isn’t stopping for a minute. We’re determined to put an end to the forever war that is causing so much pain and grief and whose only purpose is to keep our extremist government in power. We refuse the bloody reality and we refuse the violence our government is using to continue it.

We will not back down. We will continue to take to the streets against the war in Iran, Lebanon and Gaza, and against the violence in the West Bank. We will continue to fight against our extremist government and for the lives of all of us on this land.

We’re mobilizing our society against these endless wars and growing the opposition to our extremist government every week. Take our fight further by donating below to our campaign to end the forever war« .
